PR and Media Relations for Companies in the Industry Education and training.

Five projects illustrate how we transform our educational offerings, faculty, and events into news stories that newsrooms choose to publish: emerging professions, previously unpublished data, narrative repositioning, and ongoing relationships with the press covering education, employment, and culture.

01 · Background

An industry that communicates almost exclusively during the enrollment period, even though its reputation is built throughout the year

Every day, the education, jobs, and culture editorial teams receive information about open houses, new course offerings, and rankings. This content is easy to overlook: it focuses on what’s available, but sometimes lacks context, behind-the-scenes insight, or an authoritative perspective on the sector.

That is why we are working on three parallel tracks: Occupations and the Labor Market, which makes the educational offerings a hot topic, authoritative sources (founders, faculty, alumni, senior leadership) and Events and Communities, which bring journalists into organizations. It is the intersection of these three that shifts the focus from marketing to reputation.

Disclosers is an independent PR and media relations boutique based in Milan, founded in 2018. We work across multiple sectors; in the education sector, we work with creative academies, edtech platforms, and training hubs. Here are five case studies (SAE Institute, Talent Garden, Plena Education, Learnn, and Feltrinelli Education) including context, strategy, and results.

Professions

Courses told through the careers they lead to.

Scenario

Surveys, unpublished data, and AI: the organization becomes the source of the debate, not the subject of the press release.

Community

Faculty, alumni, campus managers, and industry partners serve as a concrete and ongoing testament to this.

02 · Case Studies

Five educational institutions, five different strategies

No two formats are alike: a creative academy, a digital skills academy, a hub with seven schools, a platform led by its founder, and a corporate cultural hub all require completely different media lists, story angles, and publication schedules.

01SAE Institute · Creative Industries · Audio, Video, Gaming

Bringing an academic perspective to the events that matter

An international training institution with 54 campuses worldwide and a Milan office since 1996: already well-known in the audio industry, it needed to solidify its role as a center of excellence and break into a rapidly expanding sector—gaming. The collaboration began just a few days before Milan Music Week 2022, in a context with numerous partners where it was necessary to highlight SAE’s specific contribution.

Three areas of focus: press invitations and press releases regarding campus events (In conversation with, The Home of the Future, Meet & Play, Women in Music), press releases on career topics tied to Sanremo, Theater Day, and back-to-school, and educational newsjacking with teachers on hot topics related to AI in the creative industries.

02Talent Garden · edtech · digital skills academy

Shift the narrative from coworking to innovation training

Until 2024, the media portrayed Talent Garden as a pioneer in coworking, even though its core business had shifted to training: 19 campuses, 64,000 professionals, and Europe’s first AI Academy, ranked by *Time* among the top 100 edtech companies in the world. The strategy worked exactly over this timeframe.

Differentiated positioning of spokespersons by media target audience—Davide Dattoli for business and economics, Giuseppe Mayer for consumer issues and current events, and the Academy Director and the community for testimonials—plus corporate news featuring market data, newsjacking, and partnerships (Microsoft, Google Cloud, TikTok, Var Group) used to drive the narrative.

03Plena Education · Educational and Creative Hub · Seven Schools

One Group, seven schools, a consistent reputation

Over 4,000 enrolled students and more than 24 million in revenue spread across seven institutions—from RUFA to SPD, from the Saint Louis College of Music to the CIELS Group, Ferrari Fashion School, MADE, and CAST. Since late 2023, the goal has been to build brand awareness in Italy before expanding internationally, while simultaneously promoting both the Group’s image and the initiatives of the individual schools.

Three parallel tracks—corporate storytelling about growth, in-depth features on individual schools, and informative content related to current events—with a reverse editorial approach: we start by identifying the publication to be involved, study its language and recurring themes, and only then develop the proposal.

When the Founder Becomes the Industry's Leading Authority

Luca Mastella is the founder of Learnn, a streaming platform dedicated to developing digital skills. Since 2023, we have been supporting the company’s PR efforts with the goal of positioning Learnn and its CEO as authoritative leaders in the industry.

Culture as a Strategic Business Tool

In a rapidly evolving training market and a post-pandemic context in which companies were seeking new approaches to attract talent and manage change, the challenge was to establish the platform as a leading cultural and training hub in Italy: culture and creativity—not merely as a form of personal enrichment, but as tools for corporate wellness, organizational innovation, and the development of new skills—while simultaneously increasing visibility and enrollment in the program offerings, ranging from lectures by renowned experts to executive programs.

Six parallel lines: thought leadership An editorial on cultural welfare and corporate training; Master Classes featuring leading figures from the cultural scene; advanced training with the 2nd Executive Program in Publishing and Digital Media, in partnership with POLIMI Graduate School of Business; experiential formats such as "How a Book Is Born" and the writing and meditation weekend at the Sanbo-Ji Zen Monastery in Berceto; Young Initiatives featuring artists such as Eugenio in Via Di Gioia as headliners; digital engagement, with an Instagram Live on the new frontiers of publishing.

03 · The Method

How We Work on an Educational Program

These are six strategies that we combine in varying proportions depending on our starting position, target audience, and academic calendar.

01

Press Analysis and Media List

Mapping out headlines, bylines, and narrative gaps: Before we write, we know who will publish it and why.

02

Occupations and the Labor Market

Courses presented through the professions they foster, linked to the special occasions already covered by the media.

03

Spokespersons and third-party voices

Leaders, faculty, alumni, and startup founders organized by media target audience, with assigned roles and topics.

04

Unpublished Data and Newsjacking

Surveys, research, and hot topics such as AI: the institute joins the debate as an authoritative source.

05

Events and Campus Presence

Press invitations, talks, open houses, and city festivals: journalists in the classrooms, alongside students and teachers.

06

Measurement

Circulation figures, Tier 1 rating, and the quality of the publications, as assessed over time: reputation is a cumulative process.

The Base

Vertical publishing in the fields of education, work, and the creative arts: it ensures volume and continuity.

The tip

National and business newspapers, which lend credibility to families, partner companies, and institutions.

The local press

It brings things full circle: it’s the one that brings students onto campus, city by city.

05 · Let's Work Together

A school's reputation isn't built during Open House Month

We don’t settle for one-off communications: we build authentic relationships with the media through PR strategies that deliver measurable results. Tell us about your educational offerings, target audiences, and growth goals—we’ll show you how we’d apply our approach.
